Dunnes Stores workers in Cork say they're pleased with public support
Striking Dunnes Stores workers in Cork say they are pleased with the response they're getting from the public. Across the country, around 5,000 staff at Dunnes have taken to the picket lines in a dispute over low hour contracts, job and income security and the right to trade union representation. Here in Cork, 600 Dunnes workers have placed pickets on 13 stores in the city and county Mandate say that Dunnes Management have refused to enter into talks with them Speaking to RedFM News, Mandate's Lorraine O'Brien says they have received great support from the public.
