€3.5 million In Insuance Claims Paid Out On Behalf Of Cork City Council In First Nine Months Of 2019

The figures released under the Freedom of Information Act show City Hall had the third highest claims bill
Dublin City Council's bill came to €7.5 million while Limerick City and County Council paid out €3.6 million.
More than €43 million was paid out on behalf of 28 local authorities by Irish Public Bodies which insures councils for trips on footpaths, pothole problems and other issues.
Roscommon solicitor Sean Mahon says more of these cases should be fought in court, and not settled:
