€46 million allocated for construction of homes in city and county

€46 million is being invested in Cork to enable the construction of 3,000 homes in the city and county over the next five years.
The Government hopes the new fund will see an extra 23,000 homes built by 2021 in Cork and Dublin.
A total of 226 million euro will be spent on infrastructure supporting commercial construction sites.
Housing Minister Simon Coveney says he hopes the funding injection will encourage the delivery of a strong mix of private, rental and social housing at appropriate locations..
