East Cork Residents hopeful a boil water notice will be lifted next month

The boil water notice has been in operation since February
Residents in East Cork are hopeful that a €1 million euro investment in a water treatment plant will see the boil water notice lifted next month.
The Kilva Water Treatment plant is getting a new filtration system, which will fully treat the water even during severe rainfall.
The boil water notice in East Cork has been in operation since February and Irish water has been severely criticised for the length of time it's taken to have the notice lifted
Work has been ongoing at the site for a number of weeks and is expected to be operational by September 16th
