Education Minister responds to SNA's issues over hours and posts

The Education Minister says she wants to commence negotiations between unions and management bodies over the fragmentation of Special Needs Assistant posts. Jan O'Sullivan's comments were made at IMPACT trade union's Education division conference today. Special Needs Assistants represented by the trade union voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action at the end of March over the reduction of working hours and the fragmentation of SNA posts.
