Efforts underway today to raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis

May 30th marks World MS Day and 9,000 people in Ireland are living with the neurological condition

A Virtual Balloon Race will take place at 9 o'clock tonight, with a balloon flying for each person here who has it.

Chief Executive of Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ireland, Ava Battles says symptoms can vary:

"MS is a progressive neurological condition and no two people with MS experienced the same journey with their MS, the symptoms vary from person to person so it can range from loss of movement in your hands and legs pins and needles, bowel and bladder problems cognition issues, but it was the most important pieces to say that no two people will experience MS in the same way."
