Emergency Call After Fatal Fall Of Midleton Toddler Under Investigation

An investigation has been launched into the emergency call in Midleton when a toddler fell from a window. The probe will be be carried out by experts in pre-hospital emergency care from Ireland and the UK. The two-year-old boy died in hospital and is being buried this afternoon. A neighbour was told that no ambulance was available after which he brought the child to CUH. It has now emerged that two private ambulances were in Cork at the time. Another little boy died in the town in recent weeks and concerns were raised then about the length of time it took the ambulance to arrive at the scene.
