Emergency services attended the scene of a river rescue in the city overnight
The alarm was raised around 3.30am with reports of a person in the water at North Mall near the Gate Cinema.
Units of Cork City Fire Brigade as well as Gardaí, Ambulance Service and a coastguard team responded to the call.
A woman was swiftly removed from the water and received medical attention at the scene.
