Emotional scenes in Ringaskiddy today
It follows the return of the LE Eithne.
There've been emotional scenes in Ringaskiddy Harbour today, as the LE Eithne arrived home.
They Irish naval ship's been involved in a ten week humanitarian mission in the Mediterranean.
It's been involved in over 22 operations, rescuing more than 3-thousand migrants during that time.
The Eithne is being replaced by the LÉ Niamh in order to maintain an Irish presence in the mission.
These people were delighted to welcome some of their family members home.
