Emotions Run High as Leaving Cert students across Cork open their results
6,492 students across the city and county sat the exam in June
Emotions are running high in secondary schools across Cork this morning as 6,492 students open their results.
There'll be an anxious wait for some students however as CAO offers are not being made available until Monday.
Overall six students received 8 A1's and 40 received seven A1's however no student in the country reached 9 A1s.

Concerns have been raised about the increasing number of pupils failing Ordinary level maths, as well as the decline in those sitting the Leaving Cert Applied.
Students who haven’t collected their results in person can check them online from midday.
