Engineers Say No Underlying Structural Issues At The Queen's Old Castle

It comes after timber crashed onto the pavement from the building yesterday afternoon

City Council engineers and fire officers are satisfied that there are no underlying structural issues at the Queen's Old Castle building after timber fell and crashed onto the pavement outside Dealz Store on Daunt Square

Two women sustained minor injuries in the incident outside the Dealz store yesterday afternoon which led to a section of the footpath being closed for a number of hours to allow an inspection take place

Authorities say there is no further risk to the public after a detailed engineering inspection was conducted
