A yellow wind warning remains in place across Cork after it was downgraded from an Orange alert at lunchtime
The high winds are continuing to bring trees down this afternoon and Gardai are advising that there is another tree down on the Old Mallow Road, near the Kia Garage. Power lines are also affected.

The 19,000 homes and businesses still without power around the country are being told the vast majority of them should be reconnected by tonight.
