ESB to face legal action from over 100 victims of flooding Leeside

It follows a meeting of residents and business owners last Friday to discuss the action.
The ESB is facing legal action from over 100 victims of flood damage in Cork six years ago.
This follows a public meeting last Friday where residents and business owners whose properties were damaged by severe flooding in 2009 met to discuss their legal options.
A recent court ruling found the ESB 60% liable for flood damage caused to UCC and this has spurred other flood victims into action.
Those taking the legal route have until November 19th before a statute of limitation passes.
Residents say they have had difficulty getting flood insurance as a result of the damage and are fearful of further flooding coming into the winter months.
