EU protection sought for spiced beef
Special EU protection is being sought for a Cork delicacy... Butcher Tom Durcan in the English Market has held talks with officials from the Department of Agriculture and Bord Bia about securing legal protection for his version of spiced beef... The cert gives producers protection against the product being made and marketed outside the specified region. However, Mr. Durcan's plans might not get the go ahead as there are other form of spiced beef produced in Cork and Dublin.
