Eudcation Minister announces ambitious plans for school system
Ambitious plans have been announced in a bid to make Ireland's education system the best in Europe by 2026.
The Action Plan for Education contains measures to boost the number of children from disadvantaged communities finishing school.
Coding will also be rolled out at national schools from 2018.
Other measures include bringing costs down for parents, by recommending that generic uniforms are adopted.
Education Minister Richard Bruton is hopeful that schools will come on board;
