Extra Gardai to Be Drafted Into West Cork For Bandon Music Festival

Teenagers warned that underage drinking will not be tolerated
Bandon Gardaí will be operating a zero tolerance policy on underage drinking during the Bandon Music Festival this Bank Holiday weekend.
Extra Gardaí will be drafted in along with Roads Policing and Divisional Drugs Unit who will be in operation during the event. They have appealed to parents to remind their children that underage drinking is illegal, and for sellers of alcohol to always check IDs.
This clamp down follows last years festival when over 20 arrests were made, many of which were under 18.
Speaking to RedFM News, Inspector Brian Murphy says last year large groups of drunken teens descended on the town which puts a major strain on emergency services.
