Farmers Occupying Department Of Agriculture Demand Meeting With Minister
Farmers occupying the Department of Agriculture in Dublin say they won't leave without an agreement from the Agriculture Minister.
Four farmers have been sleeping there since last Wednesday when information about changes to compensation funding for grain farmers was leaked.
Around 250 farmers have been affected with some losing 800 percent of their income.
Kieran McEvoy is the Laois County Grain Chairman.
He says it's a sad reflection on the Minister that he can't step in when there is a mechanism in place to help these farmers.
