Fears Cork's 1916 commemorations security will be inadequate

The City's Lord Mayor has expressed concern that a depleted Garda force may struggle to cope with the extra demands placed on it during the 1916 commemorations this year.
His comments come after the City and County Councils unveiled their year long programme of events at a cost of over three quarters of a million euro.
The biggest public event in the city is the family festival on the Grand Parade over the Easter Weekend and fears have already been expressed that dissidents may use the 1916 centenary to recruit new members.
Speaking to RedFM News the City's Lord Mayor Cllr Chris O'Leary is hopeful that resources will be made available to properly police these events:
