Fears for future of business in Northside following closure of bank
Ulster Bank announced it's to close its branch in Blackpool and it's feared this will discourage businesses locating to the Northside of the city
Fears are mounting that businesses will be turned off locating on the Northside following the closure of another bank this week.
Ulster Bank announced it it's to close its branch in Blackpool as well as 22 other across the country including Ballincollig, Carrigaline, and Fermoy here in Cork.
It leaves just two banks left to service the Northside of the city after six banks have closed their doors over the past number of years.
Speaking to RedFM News Fianna Fáil Cllr. Dr. John Sheehan says the government needs to act quickly to attract investment on the Northside of the city.
