Fermoy Man Keith Byrne Believes He Can Convince Authorities In The US To Let Him Stay In The Country
He arrested by immigration enforcement officers earlier this month
Mr. Byrne then and spent over three weeks in jail Pennysylvania.
He overstayed his work visa in 2007, and was refused status as a naturalised US citizen over two minor drugs charges from his youth in Ireland.
He was released from custody at the weekend, but has a legal battle ahead.
Mr. Byrne says his case isn't clear-cut -- and he still believes he has a chance at succeeding:
