Fianna Fail performing well in GE16

Fianna Fail are poised to become the great success story of GE 16 as they appear to be performing really well across the five Cork constituencies.

In the city - Michael McGrath is set to top the poll in South Central, followed by his party leader Micheal Martin and Fine Gael's Simon Coveney with the fourth seat to go down to the wire..

Sinn Fein's Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire and Fine Gael's Jerry Buttimer look like the two candidates who will battle it out for the last seat

The result of the first count is due shortly

In North Central -

Billy Kelleher is set to top the poll, followed by Mick Barry of the Anti Austerity Allliance and Jonathan O'Brien from Sinn Fein  and the fourth seat a battle between Labour's Kathleen Lynch and FG's Dara Murphy

The Fianna Fail leader Micheal Martin is again "absolutely" ruling out a coalition with Sinn Fein.

And he says he won't enter a government with Fine Gael as a partner.

Speaking at City Hall Micheal Martin says he'll see how the seats are filled before making any decision:
