Fine Gael Politician Says Cork's Defeated Proposal For Directly Elected Mayor Is "Missed Opportunity"

That's how Fine Gael's Jerry Buttimer has described the defeat of the proposal for a directly elected Mayor in Cork.
The plebiscite was defeated by just 983 votes yesterday afternoon.
Waterford also went again the proposal, while Limerick voted in favour of it.
