Fire services deal with overnight incidents

Units from the City and County Fire Service attended a number of incidents over night and this morning.
Four crews from the City were called to a fire at the former Vita Cortex site on Pearse Road 7:40pm and spent an hour bringing a fire under control.
Three units from Anglesea Street spent alomst two hours at a river rescue at the Mary Elmes bridge on Merchants quay, while in the County crews from Bantry were tasked to a gorse fire near Kealkill and have been battling a gorse fire in Casteltownbere with units from the town since around 11pm.
