Firefighter Hospitalised Following Attack On Cork Fire Crews

A firefighter has been taken to hospital following an attack on Cork fire crews last night.
Crews were dealing with a rubbish fire at the Spring Lane halting site at 11:42 when the firefighter was hit in the leg by a rock.
The crew were forced to leave the scene after around ten minutes.
It was the second call out of the night to the halting site, following a bonfire at 9:30.
Two crews from Ballyvolane and Anglesea street also dealt with a van on fire and subsequent oil spill at Sallybrook Glanmire at 8:30.
