Fishing accident claims life of man in Bunmahon

Another man is said to be in a stable condition.

One man remains in hospital in Waterford after a fishing accident yesterday.

One man died and another was injured after they were swept off the rocks by a wave while fishing in Bunmahon yesterday afternoon. 

Emergency services including the coastguard and Tramore RNLI were launched and one of the men was airlifted to University Hospital Waterford where he later died. 

The second man is said to be in a stable condition.
