Flooding back in the spotlight as CIT hosts major conference and flood-hit Bandon traders speak out
Flooding will be back in the spotlight again this month when CIT hosts a major conference on flooding in the Cork region.
The event will take place from March 26th to 28th and will include speakers from the Office of Public Works who has been involved in flood relief schemes in the city and in the county.
Bandon is one of the towns in the county that's benefitting from the involvement of the OPW in its €10 million flood relief scheme.
And speaking to RedFM News Con Lenihan of Lenihan's Menswear in Bandon says the works are having a positive effect but traders won't rest easy until the works are fully complete:
