Flooding in Cork city may be turning businesses off locating in the city centre
It's feared the severity of floods which hit Cork in the past year are turning businesses off locating in the city centre. It comes as many traders claim they're having difficulty securing insurance as a result of the...... devastation caused by the recent floods. Representatives of the insurance industry are due to attend a flood prevention workshop later today - which city centre businesses are being urged to attend. A public consultation is taking place on July 29th to discuss flood proposals contained in an OPW document - the finalised scheme is not due to be unveiled however until the deadline date in December.
