Former chief of staff of the Real IRA Aidan O'Driscoll shot dead in Blackpool
It's hoped this morning's post-mortem will help gardai determine the weapon used and possible suspects for the killing.
A large scale investigation has been launched by Gardai Leeside after the fatal shooting of a man on the northside of the city yesterday evening which has sent shock waves through the community.
The 37-year-old has been named as former chief of staff of the Real IRA Aidan O'Driscoll, who was also the victim of a punishment shooting by dissident republicans in 2013.
It's hoped a post-mortem examination which is due to take place this morning will help gardai to determine the weapon used and possible suspects for the killing.
