Former Christian Brother Charged With Assaulting Schoolboy In Cork In 1980s
65 year old Edward Bryan of Dugort, Achill Island, Co Mayo appeared at Cork District Court today
He was charged with a single count of indecently assaulting the boy at the North Monastery Secondary School between November 1st and December 31st 1981.
Judge Olann Kelleher adjourned the case until September 2nd after the court was told that the DPP had directed trial by indictment.
Gardaí told the court that they had no objection to bail once Bryan resides at his current address on Achill Island.
