French detectives in Cork to interview Sophie Toscan Du Plantier case witnesses

The French film producer was found dead near her West Cork holiday home in 1996


A team of detectives are due to arrive in Cork today to interview and reinterview a number of witnesses as part of a French investigation into the Sophie Toscan du Plantier murder.

It's understood three police officers will speak with Gardai who worked on the case as well as 20 witnesses who made statements in the original investigation.

The French film producer was found dead near Schull in Cork in December 1996.
