Fresh Reassurances Issued On The Safety Of Haulbowline Recreational Park

In a second statement issued to RedFM News, Cork County Council says it poses no risk to public health

Cork County Council has moved to reassure the public that the recently remediated Haulbowline Recreational Park presents no risk to public health.

This is the second statement on the matter issued to RedFM News this week after the Friends of the Irish Environment claimed that a report prepared for the Council 2 years ago,  raised potential dangers of contamination to the general public.

The group claims that the report shows ongoing contamination of Cork Harbour from the former Irish Steel plant.
