Funding Allocated For A Potential North Cork Greenway Project

Cork Count Council have received an initial €80,000

Minister for Climate Change, Communications, and Transport Eamon Ryan announced the funding as part of the Carbon Tax Fund 2020.

It will go towards a feasability study for a potential Greenway linking Mallow to Ballyduff Upper on the Cork/Waterford border.

The Greenway, if possible, would stretch almost 40km across North Cork, running along the former Mallow to Dungarvan Railway line, and passing through a number of Leeside towns and villages.
