Fundraising drive for Evening Echo reporter recovering from life altering stroke
A 35 day cycle is underway in an effort to raise funds for Evening Echo reporter Deirdre O'Reilly who suffered a massive stroke before Christmas. 43-year-old Deirdre, who is a mother of two young daughters, has been left with paralysis of her right side, and with speech difficulties. Dee will require intensive rehabilitation over the coming months and her home will also have to be adapted to cater for her needs. Her brother Liam began the charity cycle for Deirdre on Monday, which will see him cycle 50 miles every day, with each mile sponsored in an effort to raise funds for her rehab.
