Further delays in opening of new Cork psych unit expected

The PNA last night became the second nurses' union to reject LRC proposals aimed at resolving an ongoing dispute.
Delays in opening a new €15 million acute psychiatric unit at Cork University Hospital look set to continue.
It comes after the Psychiatric Nurses’ Association last night became the second nurses union to reject Labour Relations Commission's proposals aimed at resolving the dispute.
SIPTU mental health nurses at the CUH already voted down the proposals as they said that key clinical concerns had not been addressed.
Nurses have refused to transfer to the new unit over concerns about staffing levels and layout.
AUDIO: Speaking to RedFM News Des Kavanagh of the PNA says the Minister needs to intervene.
