Garda warn of tough speed clampdown this Easter
High visibility manned check points will be in place in every garda division over the bank holiday weekend. It comes as recent figures show the number of motorists speeding is on the increase. This year almost 45,000 fixed-charge notices were issued - that's a 17% increase on the same period last year. Motorists are being advised to slow down and take extra-care over the weekend.
