Gardaí and Teachers to Face Wage Freeze as a Result of Pay Deal

Tens of thousands of teachers and Gardaí are facing a wage freeze as a new public pay deal starts today.
The Lansdowne Road agreement is being brought in to replace the Haddington Road deal - but many unions have yet to sign up.
Failure to agree to the new deal will mean around 30-thousand public workers won't have emergency pay cuts reversed.
Among those affected are Secondary teachers who'll protest outside the Dáil later.
