Gardaí Arrest A Man In His 20s In Relation To A Dangerous Driving Incident On The M8 Motorway Yesterday

Officers from the Road Policing Unit detected a speeding vehicle on the M8 in the Kilworth area
They were conducting a speed check at around midday.
The vehicle was stopped and searched which resulted in Gardaí recovering approximately €5,000 euro worth of tools that were stolen from a number of vehicles in Cork city earlier that day.
The man in his 20s was arrested at the scene, taken to Fermoy Garda station and he has since been charged to appear before Fermoy District Court at a later date.
