Gardaí Carry Out Door-To-Door Inquiries After Discovery Of Body In Cork

Gardaí probing the death of a man in the city are carrying out door-to-door inquiries as they try to establish how he died. Detectives are treating the death as suspicious and are awaiting the results of a postmortem to determine if the man died in violent circumstances. The body was found in a waste chute in the North Gate apartment complex on Bachelors Quay at around 5.30pm yesterday evening. Officers are appealing to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious around Bachelors Quay since last Friday to contact Anglesea Street. Gardaí have not established the man's identity yet.
