Gardai Have Arrested 2 Men Following A Drugs And Cash Seizure Worth Over €12,000 In The City Centre
The arrests were made in Bishopstown last night
Shortly before 10.30pm last night, Gardaí from the Cork City Divisional Drugs Unit saw two men involved in what was believed to be a drugs transaction on Curraheen Road.
Both men were searched and €8,000 of cocaine, €5,000 of cannabis herb, €100 of cannabis resin and €650 in cash were seized.
The two men, one aged in their late 20s the other in their early 30s, were arrested at the scene and are currently being detained at Togher Garda Station.
All of the suspected drugs will now be sent for forensic analysis.
