Gardai In Cork Are Advising Motorists To Use Extreme Caution This Morning
It's due to the wintry conditions
A snow-ice warning was in place this morning until 10 am for the entire country.
The yellow warning was issued by Met Eireann on Saturday, as snow and sleet fell in many areas - especially on higher ground.
However, despite the warning being lifted, Gardai in Macroom have confirmed to RedFM News that many roads in Macroom and the wider West Cork area have frozen over and drivers should slow down and take extra care on their commutes today.
Earlier this morning, emergency services attended the scene of a minor incident in Blackpool, after a driver lost control on an icy road and skidded off course.
