Gardai In Cork Are Appealing For Witnesses After A Man In His 40s Was Killed In A Crash On The N22 This Morning
The incident happened shortly after 11am this morning
It happened close to the Oven's Bar at the end of the N22 bypass.
3 units of the fire service from Ballincollig and Anglesea Street, as well as Gardai and the national Ambulance Service responded.
The driver of the car, a man aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene when the car he was travelling in collided with a lorry.
No one else was injured in the crash.
Gardai remain at the scene as Forensic Collision Investigators examine the scene.
