Gardai investigate Cork hit and run
Gardai are trying to trace the driver of a car involved in a hit and run in the city. A three year old girl was hit by a small red car, with the partial registration 00 C, at Carberry Grove in Knocknaheeney between 8.40pm and 9.40pm on Sunday evening. The car stopped momentarily before driving away towards Courtown Drive and onwards to Kilmore Road. The girl was taken to CUH with minor injuries and has since been released. Gardai want to speak to the driver, who's described as in his 50s, with grey hair and a grey beard and was wearing glasses, a muscle top and jeans. Anyone with information about this accident or who was in the area at the time is asked to contact Gurranabraher Garda Station on 021 4946200.
