Gardai are investigating the sudden death of a toddler at Delaney Park in Dublin Hill after she was rushed to Cork University Hospital at lunchtime today after she became entangled in blind cords in an accident at her home
The one year old child was admitted to hospital in a critical condition at 1pm and was pronounced dead a short time later
The infant was discovered with the cords around his neck by his mother when she went to check on him at their home at Delaney Park shortly after midday
The emergency services were alerted and the child was rushed by ambulance to hospital
A file is being prepared for the Coroner
