Gardaí are investigating after reports of a suspect device at a school in Midleton.
Elsewhere two schools in Limerick and Dublin have been evacuated after bomb scares this morning.
Twenty Gardaí have been deployed to Milford National School to carry out a search and three units of Limerick City and County Fire and Rescue Service are also attending the school.
Meanwhile a primary school in Donaghmede has been evacuated after a similar scare however gardaí have confirmed to RedFM News that this was a hoax.
An investigation is now underway and gardaí are trying to establish whether there's a possible link to threatening calls at seven other schools in the North which were reportedly made from an automated system.
The PSNI say at this stage there is no information to suggest the incidents are terrorist-related, however enquiries are continuing to establish the facts.
