Gardai launch investigation into animal cruelty in Cork

Gardai have launched an investigation after a dog was brutally attacked in Cobh.
Vets believes that Rancher, an 11 year old collie sheepdog had boiling water or some sort of chemical poured over his back and stabbed three times while he was out in the back garden of his home.
His owner Dawn Parker says Rancher has had to undergo intense medical treatment and faces up to a week in the vets clinic as he also suffered internal injuries after he was stabbed with an iron bar which had a hook on the end of it.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Dawn says the Gardai are hunting for the culprits.
