Gardai Leeside not equipped to carry out drug driving tests

The New Law came into effect on Thursday, but the GRA says it's members have not been trained in how to use the devices or how to implement the new law

Gardai across Cork are not equipped to carry out new drug driving tests.

That's according to the Garda Representative Association who say despite reports that mandatory roadside drug testing will begin from today, no mobile testing units have been delivered to Garda Stations Leeside.

Speaking to RedFM News Cork GRA representative Ian Lester says they cannot implement the new law until they have received the correct guidelines on how to do so.
