Gardaí mount protest outside Dáil over pay

The Garda Representative Association is staging a protest outside Leinster House in an ongoing row over pay.

It was due to take place two years ago under a pay deal with government - however it is yet to take place, and instead a new public service pay deal, rejected by gardaí, is due to come into force tomorrow.
Speaking to RedFM News the GRA's Jason Collins who is stationed in the Cork West division says if the promised review of pay and conditions isn't delivered many gardaí in Cork and across the country will stay on just above minimum wage in a job where members put their lives on the line:
