Gardai Probe Armed Post Office Raid In Cork
The robbery happened at the post office on Little Island at 9.10am shortly after it had been opened
Two masked raiders one armed with a handgun and the other with an iron bar entered the post office and demanded cash
No shots were fired and the raiders made off with an undisclosed amount of cash in a waiting car..
Gardai have mounted a search for the getaway car a black or dark coloured Ford Mondeo and detectives are currently trawling CCTV footage from the post office
No one was injured in the raid
