Gardaí Reminding Those Attending Bandon Music Festival That They Are Adopting Zero Tolerance Approach To Underage Drinking
Gardai are reminding anyone heading to the Bandon Music Festival this weekend that they will be adopting a "zero tolerance approach" to underage drinking at the Festival.
Last year there were over 20 arrests made during the Bandon Music Festival, with complaints of teenage drunkenness and lewd behaviour.
Gardaí have confirmed to RedFM News that they have been liasing with pubs, security personal, the festival organising committee and bus companies involved in the festival for a number of weeks now.
Speaking to RedFM News Inspector Brian Murphy says parents need to be rsponsible for their children and remind them that underage drinking is illegal and that drinking alcohol in a public place could result in them being arrested.
