Gardai Request Post-Mortem After Body Found In North Cork
The body was found in a flat in North Cork yesterday evening
Members of An Garda Síochána were alerted by relatives of the man, aged in his 60s, after they found his body in his rented flat on Bridge Street in Mallow shortly before 6pm yesterday.
It's understood that the man, who had not been seen for a number of days, had some injuries but there was no sign of forced entry or a struggle in the flat.
Gardai cordoned off the scene and the man's body was removed to Cork University Hospital late yesterday evening for a post-mortem which gardai hope will establish the exact cause of death.
